Hydroponics.
With such a fancy word, you’d think I know all about gardening. Nope. Not even close. I’ve been known to kill hostas before. For all of you avid gardeners out there, you know that’s not easy to do. Yet, somehow I managed to do it.
I heard of hydroponics and wanted to try. I bought Hydroponics for Dummies.
One chapter in, I realized I must be dummer than a dummy, because what they described went way over my head.
A few years later, at a school garden conference. I trepidly tip toed into the ‘hydroponics’ session. When I heard, “Start with a rubbermaid tote…” I sat up.
Finally - language I could understand!
Over the next several years, I twisted and tweaked various experiments and now grow hydroponics in a way that can only be described as… Lazy.
One of my favorite parts of lazy hydroponics (other than NO WEEDING!) is being able to pick fresh tomatoes.
In January.
